"A Good Man Is Hard To Find"

The plot of the story did not surprise me because in the beginning of the story, the grandma talked about a newspaper article where the Misfit was running loose. The author, Flannery O'Connor, forshadowed what was to happen with the article about the Misfit in Florida. The family was heading for vacation in Florida, and the article informed the public that the Misfit was in that same area. The family refused to go to a different state, like the grandma suggested, which increased their chances of running into the Misfit. When I first started reading the story, I thought that the family was going to take the grandmother's advice and go to Tennessee so they can avoid the Misfit. It is unfortunate that the grandma took them to a road where there were not many people around to help them. Even though the grandma begged for the Misfit not to hurt them, the Misfit did as he pleased.

  1. It's good that you noticed all the foreshadowing. I'd like to see you expand next time. Try to go into more detail and include quotes from the text.
